A jealous woman is facing attempted murder charges for allegedly blowing up her husband’s lover’s shop in a mall.
Dayanna Gomes was arrested and charged after the blast.
CCTV footage shows a woman walking past the clothes shop in a black T-shirt, a black cap, and beige trousers.

She returned a minute later, unslung her rucksack, and walked into the shop.
Moments later, a bright flash could be seen as the storefront was blasted out into the concourse.
Flying debris narrowly missed two women walking by.
A pair of customers could then be seen running out of the glowing shop in Campos dos Goytacazes, northeast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Gomes, 33, was arrested at her mother’s house in Vila Nova de Colares – a four-to-five-hour drive away – on Monday (10 Feb).

She was transferred to a women’s prison in Campos dos Goytacazes the next day (11 Feb) and her mum’s phone was seized.
As she was taken to the police station, Gomes allegedly said: “I’m at peace. I’ll do my time properly. It’s all good.
“I only ask forgiveness from the people I really hurt, the ones who had nothing to do with it, and those who got burned. That’s it, nothing more.
“I don’t regret a thing.”
It’s expected that Gomes will be charged with four counts of attempted murder.
Besides the shop owner, three other people inside the store were injured.

One is still hospitalised in critical condition.
According to police chief Carla Tavares, Gomes confessed during questioning that her motive was revenge.
She reportedly said: “I came here to destroy my husband’s mistress’s shop.”
Gomes claimed to the police that she had known the woman since she was 19.
Detectives say there is a history of disputes between the two, with a police report for bodily harm filed in early 2024.
When asked by reporters if she intended to harm or kill the woman, Gomes replied: “No.
“I just wanted to do something to the shop.”
However, the police say she knowingly put lives at risk, as reported by Need To Know.
The shop owner has denied having a relationship with Gomes’s husband, who is in prison for drug trafficking.
The fire on 4 February spread to six other shops, whose owners are still dealing with the damage.
A forensic report is expected to clarify the flammable substance Gomes used to start it.
It wasn’t until Monday that the shopping centre’s second floor was reopened for business.
