An influencer has ended up in the emergency room after “freezing her buttocks off” in a snowy -10°C photoshoot.
Ravena Hanniely – a model with over 267,000 followers on Instagram – often showcases raunchy pictures and travel highlights on her social media.
And when the 24-year-old went on holiday to a ski resort, she saw an opportunity to create some content.
But while the icy photoshoot seemed to go well for other influencers, Ravena was in A&E with frozen cheeks by the end of it.
“I thought it was just a little pain, but I went straight to the emergency room,” she told Need To Know.

“My butt was completely numb and I couldn’t even sit.
“I wanted to do something memorable, something different.
“I planned it all carefully, but the cold was much more intense than I expected.
“At first, it felt manageable, but then my body started to lock up.
“I was freezing my buttocks off.”

Amid freezing temperatures that dropped to -10 °C, Ravena braved the snow in a bikini to get the perfect shot.
The shoot took place in Sierra Nevada, in southern Spain, where she was vacationing with friends.
She said: “I spent a long time adjusting the scenery, lighting, and poses to get the perfect result.

“I kept pushing for the ideal shot way longer than I should have.
“That’s when I started losing feeling – especially in my buttocks.
“It got so numb I started to panic and went straight to the emergency room.”
According to Ravena, doctors stated that prolonged exposure to extreme cold can cause localised hypothermia, particularly in areas with lower blood circulation.

In more severe cases, it can lead to tissue damage or even necrosis.
Now recovering, Ravena is taking the incident as a lesson.
The model, from Brazil, said: “We get so excited about our ideas that we forget the risks.

“It looked beautiful, yes, but it was also very dangerous.
“This is a warning for anyone thinking about jumping on these trends without preparation.
“The shot came, but so did the struggle.”
