A groom-to-be sparked a police probe after he sent out a wedding invite with two brides.
It indicated that the man, who had the surname Wu, allegedly planned to marry two women at a local hotel.
The invite was for a ceremony on Saturday (19 Apr).

It featured the besuited groom and two women in white dresses.
The event was due to take place in the city of Bijie in southern China, a country where polygamy is illegal and considered immoral.
Following the online backlash, the venue refused to stage the wedding.
They said the booking party did not disclose that the wedding apparently involved three people.
The hotel emphasised that China upholds monogamy as a “legal and moral standard”.
The authorities also launched an investigation into the alleged planned polygamous union, as reported by Need To Know.

They learned that the two women on the invite were Ms Chen, Mr Wu’s current fiancée, and his ex-wife, Ms Zhou.
As Ms Zhou still has a good relationship with her ex-husband, she asked to be included in their big day after learning that he was remarrying.
The groom and Ms Chen agreed to the suggestion, and their respective families also gave their support.

The authorities later confirmed that the photoshoot and invitations were carried out “just for fun” and that no actual polygamous wedding was organised.
After advising Mr Wu to drop the gesture, he reportedly went ahead with a traditional wedding involving only his fiancée.
