Actor Rudy Youngblood claims he suffered “broken ribs” and “bruises” after being detained at an airport
The Hollywood star, best known for his role in Mel Gibson’s 2006 film Apocalypto, said he was on a work trip.
He visited Stockholm, Sweden and was due to fly to Mexico to shoot a film.

But a row occurred at Stockholm Arlanda Airport that resulted in him being detained and sent to an immigration centre.
He said his flight was delayed several times and he wasn’t told why, which left him feeling frustrated.
Youngblood alleged: “I was speaking to airport staff and out of nowhere a police officer comes, grabs me, and wrestles me to the ground.

“Then four officers jumped on me.
“They treated me badly at the airport.”
He also claimed to Aftonbladet: “Then they handcuffed me and took me away.
“I have broken ribs and bruises all over my body.”
The 42-year-old actor claims he was first taken to a room and given no medical care, food, or the right to make a phone call.
He said he was then taken to the immigration centre, where he had spent the last week.
Police spokesperson Mats Eriksson said: “The airline he was supposed to fly with did not want to let him go with them.

“Then we were called and made the assessment that the person was unstable and aggressive.
“We made the decision that he should be rejected from the country.”
Eriksson confirmed that there is no suspicion of a crime being committed, as reported by Need To Know.
He added: “He exceeded his visa period in the Schengen Area, so it is a question of ‘illegal stay’.”
Youngblood posted an update to his Instagram page last night (25 Jun).
He claimed: “I have been held in Sweden for over a week.
“I’m in the immigration centre. They don’t tell me why I’m here. No one‘s giving me any answers.
“This is corruption all the way through and through. I will keep everybody posted.

“I have to give my phone back, but I’m not arrested and I’ve done nothing wrong, which makes no sense, but they won’t tell me why I’m in the immigration centre.
“No one’s giving me any answers, so keep you updated and keep you in my prayers.”
Youngblood was involved in a similar incident in Greece in December last year when he was arrested by the police for allegedly behaving aggressively.
After a quick trial, the actor received a 10-month suspended prison sentence and deportation order.
He later successfully appealed the verdict and was allowed to leave the country voluntarily without being subject to a five-year travel ban to Schengen countries.
