A major toothpaste spill shut down a main road as crews battled to remove the sticky mess.
The minty-scented combination of toothpaste and sawdust filled the air with a nice aroma, according to locals.
But the zesty slick led to the closure of Gold Hill Road in Asheboro in North Carolina, US, on Wednesday morning (23 Jul).

The police warned locals: “Spilled toothpaste mixed with sawdust may smell good, but it sure is slippery.
“Be advised that Gold Hill Rd between Old Liberty Rd and Giles Chapel Rd will be temporarily closed until this spill can be cleaned up.”
The police announced that the road had reopened at around 3:30 pm, as reported by Need To Know.

It’s unclear if a local transport company faces a brush with the law for causing the toothpaste slick.
In December last year, locals were filmed stealing beer from a lorry after it collided with a tanker truck in San Jacinto, Bolivia.
The lorry was filled with boxes of amber nectar, which caused onlookers to take advantage of the situation.
Fuel from the tanker spilled everywhere, posing a serious risk of fire.
The looters didn’t seem to care, however, and made it their priority to raid the boozy cargo.
