A super-fit gran, who helps other women build “revenge bodies”, says she feels “ageless” and “in the best shape” of her life at 65.
Lesley Maxwell has washboard abs that most people her age – and younger – can only dream of.
The grandmother loves to work out with her twenty-something granddaughter, Tia Christofi, and often gets flirty DMs from young men.
In 2025, she looks better than ever – and reveals the one change she’s made that has upped he game: She’s gorging on high protein, high fat meals.
And it’s clearly working, with Lesley showing off her strength to fans last month as she did a series of chin-ups in a video – as well as showing off her sizzling body in a hot pink bikini.

“This year I changed my diet to what I call ‘Carnivore Plus’ – which I feel is a better way for women rather than a traditional carnivore diet,” she told Need To Know.
“Then I stepped up my training a little.
“I was amazed by the results of tweaking my diet and a slight adjustment to my training.
“Of course, my body responded, and I wanted to share this method with others who want to improve their body shape and health.
“The ‘revenge body’ is more to inspire that we don’t have to listen to the naysayers – the people that don’t believe that we can be lean and strong at any age.

“Also, many people don’t want to give in to the ageing process.
“We don’t have to.
I feel ageless and in the best shape of my life.”
Talking about her ‘Carnivore Plus’ diet, Lesley explained that it is a “smarter, female-focused version of the original – with high protein, smaller meals that are more easily digestible to develop and maintain muscle tone.
She said: “So instead of long fasts, I suggest eating on a more regular basis.
“It keeps women strong, lean and energised without the extremes.
“Also, we need on a daily basis approximately 2g of protein per kilo of ideal bodyweight.

“ So, for me, that’s over 100g per day, so I have four or five meals per day that contain 20 to 25g complete protein per meal.
“There’s no way I could eat that much in one or two sittings.”
When asked if she is fitter now, she added that there is “no question about it”.
Lesley, from Melbourne, Australia, said: “I feel younger now than in my forties.
“e can develop a younger body through how we train and what we eat.
“I’m a testament to that.

“I’m mainly focusing on weight training as I love it for both physical and mental reasons.
“It’s the best way to develop a younger body.”
Lesley says that there is no quick fix to looking good, but believes the only way to get a “revenge body” is to commit yourself to working out.
She added: “ I wish I could give you a magic trick, but believe me, you’re going to love this lifestyle.
“Training can have a magical impact on our mood, and there are lots of like-minded people in a gym.
“You never know who you might meet!”
