A mum-of-four claims to be paying for Christmas by selling her tears to the tune of £500 per bottle.
For most people, December is a joyful month that kicks off the festive season – but Liz River spends most of the days in the run-up to Santa’s arrival blubbering.
The 44-year-old always has a jar close by to capture the liquid for fans who she says are willing to pay good money for it.

When asked if they would be using the extra cash for Christmas gifts and if it would help with budgeting, Liz replied, “You can bet your hat!”
“Without the money from selling tears in jars and videos of me crying, Christmas would be very different – we’d probably only have the bare minimum,” she told Need To Know.
“I’ve actually already started shopping!

“Selling tears in jars means that instead of having a small plastic Christmas tree, we can have a live one that we can replant afterwards.
“Plus, because of this money, my whole family will be together instead of being spread out across the country for the holiday.
“I set aside a percentage of every sale and put it toward Christmas.”
Liz, who hails from the US Midwest, claims sales started slowly when she first started out, with just two to three bottles per year.
But she’s reportedly flogged over 100 in total since she started her unusual venture years ago.
She said: “It takes time to fill a jar, even a little one!
“I’m thinking about offering a micro version soon, maybe the size of a necklace charm.
“Right now, I only offer the super-expensive, ‘once-in-a-lifetime superfan spoiling themselves’ sizes.
“It would be nice to offer different options!”
Liz has been an adult content creator for 21 years and uses much of her cash to spoil her four kids, aged 29, 28, 23 and 17 [not named for privacy reasons].

She said, “My kids all know sort of what I do for a living.
“The older ones know more of the specifics, especially the girls.
“I have an aunt who was an exotic dancer for a very long time, and she was the first of her siblings to buy her own house without a man, which was unusual but respected in my family.
“Also, after I started, my mom was a fetish model for a while, and one of my daughters dabbles in streaming occasionally.
“It’s not as taboo as it used to be.
“A rising tide lifts all boats.”
Selling tears isn’t Liz’s only cash cow – she’s also had plenty of other unusual requests.
She said: “I’ve never been one to hold back tears anyway – I’ve always been very sensitive – so it felt like a natural progression for me to explore this professionally.
“I sent out a tweet saying that I was ready to make a custom crying video.
“I immediately had someone message me with their order.

“He requested a 20-minute video, mostly of my face and fully clothed.
“He just wanted to see me cry real tears and also wanted to know if he could buy the tissues I used or whether I had a tear-stained pillow.
“That’s when I first thought of the jars of tears.
“I could picture myself crying into glass bottles.
“So, I started offering that on LoyalFans for my top-tier clients.
“Men [also pay hundreds of dollars just to sit with me and rub my feet], and my first paid shoot was for a cast fetish.
“Another unusual one, I think, is tickling [and] last year I made a lot of videos pretending to turn into a giant and stomping on things.
“I love making these because I’m only about 5’4”, so it’s fun to imagine being huge!
“[But] I think for tangible items, the jars of tears and the tear-stained pillowcases are the weirdest ones.
“I’ve also sold old shoes that are falling apart and dirty socks.”
Liz, a former teen mum, loves her bizarre line of work, but she first started it to support her family at the age of 23.
But in the years since, it has given her freedom and flexibility that few jobs would.
She added, “I first started as a single mom with three kids to provide for.
“At 23, that’s a heavy load, but I was stubborn – I knew there was something out there that would satisfy my artistic side and make me more money than I was earning waiting tables.
“I really do love doing weird stuff for work, it’s so much fun!

“But obviously, when my kids were small, the objective was to make as much money as possible in as little time as possible so I could be with them as much as possible.
“Back then, I could drive to Florida (gas was cheap!), work for the weekend and be back by breakfast on Monday with all the money we needed for a month.
“And then play ‘Suzie Homemaker’ the rest of the time, baking cookies in my apron and teaching them to read.
“This year, [for Christmas], we’re getting together early to accommodate everyone’s schedules.
“I handmade stockings out of felt for everyone, just like my grandparents did for me.
“We’re going to cook together and watch ‘White Christmas’, it’s the only movie we all agree on!
“I actually like doing the festivities early; it feels more relaxed.
“On the actual day, December 25, it’ll just be me.
“Honestly, I’ll probably film or stream that day.
“Come find me, I guess!”
