A 36-year-old woman has died after travelling abroad for a three-in-one cosmetic procedure.
Krisley Poliana Vieira da Silva underwent abdominoplasty, liposuction, and breast implant surgery at a private clinic in early April.
Shortly afterwards, she began to experience pain, was admitted to a clinic, and later transferred to another facility with specialist doctors.

Despite treatment, her condition worsened, and she died in Bolivia on Friday (17 Apr).
Originally from Santarém, Brazil, Krisley worked as a gold miner and cook and lived in Itaituba.
She had travelled alone across the border to Santa Cruz de la Sierra and attended pre-operative medical consultations there.
On social media, she had described the surgeries as the “fulfilment of a dream”, as reported by Need To Know.
Her sister told local media: “The first procedure was breast implant surgery, carried out on 1 April.

“Two days later, on 3 April, she underwent an abdominoplasty and soon began to experience abdominal pain.
“The medical facilities said her condition was not related to the cosmetic procedures and attributed the case to a urinary tract infection.
“But that has nothing to do with it – this was clear medical negligence.”
As of Sunday (19 Apr), Krisley’s body remained at the Legal Medical Institute in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, with the cause of death still yet to be disclosed.
According to Bolivian media, police are investigating the case amid indications of possible medical negligence.
In audio messages and texts sent to family and friends, Krisley complained of intense pain.
She said she repeatedly asked for help, but her suffering was allegedly dismissed by medical staff as “psychological pain”.
Her last social media video, posted on 8 April, showed her bandaged in a hospital bed, with the caption: “Me trying to survive a post-operative recovery that’s almost killing me.”
Her family has launched a fundraising campaign to repatriate her body to Itaituba, where she will be laid to rest.
Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: “The Brazilian Consulate-General in Santa Cruz de la Sierra has been providing consular assistance since it was contacted by the family.”
