A giant relative of the great white shark stunned fishermen after snatching their catch and biting it clean in half in one go.
The porbeagle appeared beside a small boat as anglers were reeling in bass off.
Experienced fisherman Ben Humber said the dramatic encounter happened while he and a friend had hooked a double catch.

He estimated it to be 10-feet-long and around 300Ib, off Lulworth, Dorset, as reported by Need To Know.
He said: “While targeting bass from the boat, we had something pretty special happen.
“We’d just had a double hookup when my mate suddenly shouted, ‘I’ve hooked a shark, I’ve hooked a shark’.

“Moments later, a huge porbeagle appeared right behind the boat, right between the main and auxiliary engines, with his bass firmly in its jaws.
“One shake of its head was all it took to cut the bass clean in half.
“Then it came back looking to finish the job, chasing the remaining head that still had the lure attached.
“It’s not every day you witness something like this from a small boat.
“An incredible reminder of what’s swimming beneath us off the south coast.”
The huge predator could be seen circling close to the boat before lunging for the fish.
Porbeagles are a species of mackerel shark and close relatives of the great white.
They can grow up to 12ft long and weigh more than 500lbs.
The species is known for its speed and power and is often found in cold and temperate waters across the North Atlantic.
