It could be a good omen for England as a lucky Jordan Pickford cutout was returned after being swiped from a pub.
The life-size cardboard cut-out of the national team hero vanished from The Crown during England’s historic win over Mexico.
Landlord Steve Brown said the cut-out was taken while he was serving customers at another bar in the pub.

And he was desperate to get his prized mascot back before the Three Lions’ next game on Saturday.
The cardboard Pickford disappeared from The Crown in Costessey, Norfolk.
CCTV shows a man dressed in grey and wearing a bike helmet making off with the England star, as reported by Need To Know.

Steve admitted he had become unusually attached to his cardboard companion and was hoping it would be returned before England take on Norway on Saturday night.
Ahead of its return, he said: “We need him to keep out Erling Haaland.”
And the pub’s prayers were answered when the figure was returned this week.

Steve added: “The poor guy was worried because he had taken him as a joke and thought we were all being serious.
“He bought him back and it was fine so was rewarded with a pint.”
