A wanted Canadian man was filmed being arrested mid-workout at a Colombian gym over allegations of drug and international arms trafficking.
Footage shows several armed officers bursting into the fitness centre and forcing Arif Jhuman to lie face down on the floor.
Other gym-goers look on in shock as the 40-year-old’s hands are cuffed behind his back before he is led away under heavy guard.

The Canadian citizen, whose alias is “Gillani” and who is considered a key figure in the illegal firearms trade between the United States and Canada, was arrested in Medellín’s affluent El Poblado neighbourhood yesterday (8 July).
He was reportedly using a cardio machine when officers from the Colombian National Police’s Anti-Narcotics Directorate, working alongside Interpol and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, entered the gym to execute an arrest warrant.
Jhuman, who was wanted under an Interpol Red Notice and sought by both US and Canadian authorities over investigations into drug and arms trafficking, was taken to a police station.
According to Medellín Mayor Federico Gutiérrez, he “is believed to have entered Colombia using false documents”.
US prosecutors allege Jhuman conspired to traffic more than 100 firearms from Florida to Canada between 2023 and 2024, as reported by Need To Know.
He had already been sentenced to nine years and 11 months in prison by an Ontario court for drug possession and trafficking.
Since 2023, he had also faced separate legal proceedings after allegedly breaching the conditions of his parole following an arrest that year in a Toronto suburb for the same offences.
In December 2025, authorities in Tampa charged him with firearms possession and trafficking, as well as alleged links to a fentanyl trafficking network operating in Florida alongside five other individuals.
Investigators also alleged that the murder of a Canadian man was linked to firearms trafficked from Florida by the network Jhuman is accused of belonging to.
After allegedly fleeing, investigators eventually tracked him to Medellín’s affluent El Poblado neighbourhood, where he was arrested while working out.
He remains in custody while extradition proceedings continue.
