A private jet carrying a singer and seven other people burst into flames after running off the runway.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday (13 September) at a mining company’s airfield in Parelhas, Brazil, where Rey Vaqueiro was due to perform.
The pilot, co-pilot, Rey and the five other people on board managed to escape the aircraft before the fire spread.

Nobody was injured. However, the Cessna 550 Bravo, manufactured in 2006, was destroyed.
Rey, 26, had performed in Moreno hours earlier and was due to perform in Parelhas at 2.30am, as reported by Need To Know.
The singer, his team and the crew were taken to a local hospital for medical checks and are said to be doing well.
Minutes earlier, another aircraft carrying other members of Rey’s team had landed without incident.
Because of the accident, Rey cancelled his shows scheduled for Sunday in Custódia and Canhotinho.
Both of the aircraft’s engines caught fire in the accident, with firefighters spending a total of five hours tackling the blaze.
The Fire Department said: “Firefighters tackled the blaze and cooled the engines while the remaining fuel burned off.”

The runway reportedly had no problems, and the aircraft’s airworthiness certificate was valid.
Rey, whose real name is David Linhares Pereira de Sousa, is from São Paulo but sings traditional music from rural north-eastern Brazil.
His schedule for this month included 33 shows and just four days off.
His 2025 song “Body Splash” has 19m views on YouTube.
CENIPA, Brazil’s aviation accident investigation agency, will investigate the accident.
