Harry Redknapp has admitted he was convinced to buy a Cheltenham horse behind his wife’s back after a spooky coincidence.
The ex-Tottenham and West Ham manager always loved a bargain in the transfer market.
And now his purchases have turned to the world of horse racing.

The 78-year-old told how he recently snapped up a new horse that will be running next Friday (14 Mar) at the famous Cheltenham racecourse.
The former Premier League gaffer described getting a phone call from trainer Graeme McPherson who was waxing lyrically about it.
Seven-year-old Yellow Car has earned a whopping £60,000 in earnings from its six races.
But Redknapp almost missed out on purchasing the promising horse.
“I bought a horse last week,” he said:
“I got a message from a fella called Graeme McPherson.
“He’s a good trainer, he trains down near Cheltenham.
“He sent me a message saying he’s got a nice horse for sale called Yellow Car.
“I thought no, I don’t want to buy another horse.
“Then I get a knock at the door, the girl comes round who does our cleaning.
“She says ‘Hello Harry, I’ve taken my car in for a service, look what they’ve given me, this yellow car.’
“I thought no, this is an omen. So I went back on the phone and bought the bleeding horse.
“I hope the missus isn’t listening because she doesn’t know about this one yet.”
The cleaner’s temporary motor – which had a bright yellow exterior – was enough to seal the deal.
It comes after star novice The Jukebox Man – another of Redknapp’s horses – was ruled out for the season.
The chaser was one of the favourites for the 3m Brown Advisory at the Cheltenham Festival but suffered an injury on the gallops back in January.
Yellow Car goes into the season with a record of six races and three wins, as reported by What’s The Jam.
