A man has died after being hit by a bus and dragged for nearly 20 feet on the street while trapped under the vehicle.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Ramswaroop, was standing on a street in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, northern India, on Tuesday (1 March).
The incident was caught on camera, showing Ramswaroop standing at the door of a white car talking to a friend.
The approaching yellow bus then hits him.
A second camera shows the victim being dragged along the road as the bus continues to drive, with the man appearing trapped under the wheels.
Onlookers rush to help when the bus eventually stops – some 20 feet away from the white car.
Sadly, the victim died of his injuries.
According to reports, the bus driver allegedly fled the scene after the incident and is believed to be “on the run”.
Local police seized the bus and are currently believed to be searching for the driver.
