He allegedly threatened her into going with him to a motel in Belford Roxo, Brazil, in the early hours of Friday (1 May).
At the motel, Da Silva, 26, allegedly strangled Samara until she lost consciousness.
He then allegedly drove her to his mother’s and stepfather’s house and asked for help.
They rushed her to a local urgent care centre, but she was pronounced dead on arrival, as reported by Need To Know.

Da Silva was arrested on Monday (4 May) on suspicion of femicide after turning himself in to police.
Samara had ended her relationship with him last year following episodes of domestic violence.
According to her parents, she had obtained a restraining order in November, prohibiting Da Silva from approaching her.
Her mother, Amanda Santos, told local media: “In the last few days he’d been following her because she no longer wanted the relationship.
“He was stalking her, constantly threatening her.
“I was keeping watch.

“I could barely work properly because I knew she needed me.”
Samara was laid to rest in her hometown of Rio de Janeiro on Saturday (2 May).
Amanda added: “She was a wonderful girl. Hard-working, always chasing event work, always asking for a little opportunity.
“Always willing to help, very family-oriented, very close to me. She did everything for me.”
