A former beauty queen has been arrested after allegedly posing as a cosmetic surgeon and permanently disfiguring patients.
Jenny Rahmadi Fitri had allegedly been operating an unlicensed beauty clinic, where she posed as a cosmetic doctor, since 2019.
After enticing dozens of patients with large discounts, she allegedly performed major invasive procedures on them.

She came under investigation after one woman, N.S., experienced severe bleeding, serious infection, and pus-filled wounds on her face and head following a facelift and eyebrow lift.
Ade Kuncoro of the Riau Regional Police, Indonesia, said: “The victim suffered festering wounds and serious swelling, requiring further treatment and surgery at several health facilities in Batam.”
N.S. was allegedly left with permanent scars on her scalp, preventing her hair from growing back, as well as a long scar on her eyebrow.
So far, police have heard from 15 of her patients, with the number expected to rise, as reported by Need To Know.

Kuncoro added: “One victim even experienced two botched lip procedures, resulting in permanent disfigurement and psychological trauma.”
Several others reportedly claimed permanent damage and psychological trauma.
Jenny was a finalist in the 2024 Puteri Indonesia beauty pageant, with her victory at provincial level taking her to the national stage in Jakarta.
She was arrested at her home in Bukittinggi in late April and has since been charged with violations of the Health Law and consumer protection regulations.
The clinic, Arauna Beauty Aesthetic Clinic in Pekanbaru, has been sealed by police.

Despite lacking formal education in medicine or health sciences, police said the certificates displayed at the clinic led victims to believe she was qualified in the beauty industry.
She reportedly charged between 1.5m IDR (£64) and 16m IDR (£679) for procedures.
The Puteri Indonesia Foundation has since revoked her title as Puteri Indonesia Riau 2024 and removed her name from its list of past winners.
