A stowaway cat was shipped over 650 miles after sneaking into an Amazon box.
Carrie and Matt Clark said their playful moggy, named Galena, loves to hide.
However, the cat’s naughty nature got her into trouble when she mysteriously vanished from the family’s home.

Galena found her way inside an Amazon box being used to return some CAT footwear.
They last saw her on 10 April at their home in Lehi, near Salt Lake City, Utah, US.
The feline then spent six days in transit without food and water before ending up over 650 miles away in Los Angeles, California.

In the meantime, the Clarks were frantically searching for their pet.
Galena was found by an Amazon worker named Brandy Hunter who looked after her and even took her to a vet for checks.
On 17 April, the Clarks received a call from the vet who scanned the cat’s microchip.
Carrie said: “Without the microchip, and the kindness of Brandy, we never would have found her again.”
The Clarks booked a flight to California for the next day.

Carrie said: “Our oldest daughter called it a ‘Mission Date’.”
The family was soon reunited with their beloved moggy.
Galena suffered from mild dehydration, but was otherwise unharmed from her six-day ordeal.
The cat’s owner said: “Brandy told us Galena heard my voice when we walked in and she immediately reacted.”
The Amazon box had a tiny opening that gave the cat enough air and the temperatures remained mild the whole time, as reported by Need To Know.

Carrie explained: “Despite being skinnier she is completely unharmed.
“After getting the vets approval and a game plan, Matt, Galena, and I packed up the rental car and drove 10 hours together back to Utah.
“We finally made it back home on Friday after travelling 1,400 miles in 24 hours to get our kitty back.
“We’re in awe of all the little and big miracles that have taken place.
“The side seam of her box split open so she could breathe, the weather was ideal temperatures, she was sent to Brandy’s Amazon facility – who knows all about cats and knew exactly how to help her.”
Carrie joked: “They say cats have 9 lives, this is the story of how our kitty Galena used 6 in a week.”
She also encouraged all animal owners to microchip their pets and “triple check your Amazon boxes!”
