After her warning was ignored, Claudia devastatingly faced the consequences.
She and her boyfriend had decided to go for a ride on their bike with other friends.
Whilst out, the couple encountered a streak of oil spread over the asphalt that had been caused by a vehicle that had passed not long before.
The bike lost its grip on the road and slipped as it went over the oil leak.
Claudia’s boyfriend suffered only a bruise to one of his knees.
The young woman however, ended up being thrown against the guard rail, which killed her instantly.
She was originally from Lovere, in Italy but had moved to Sarezzo, in the Brescia area of Italy.
The accident occurred on Saturday (Nov 2), on the SP237, a road in the municipality of Barghe which is also in the Brescia area.
Claudia had alerted local news outlets of the leak, and was still trying to get the issue sorted right before her detail.
Her final heartbreaking message has been reported by Need To Know.
She wrote: “Good morning, I’m Claudia and I’m the one who reported the oil problem on the Coasts to the newspapers, again in the past few weeks.”
Police have since been able to trace the motorcyclist who had lost oil on the road.
The motorcyclist said he only realised the leak when the oil light came on.
He was forced to stop, and he loaded the bike into a van so that he could get himself home.
After what has happened, the Brescia Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation for road homicide.
