The clip shows the 26-year-old performing with his band in front of a packed crowd.
As he turns away from the audience, the object – apparently a beer can – is seen striking him on his cheek.
Beer sprays all over the stage as the singer reels in shock.
The camera turns to a heavyset man in the crowd who gives Tito Double P the middle finger.
The rapper, who is the cousin of music star Peso Pluma, is seen pointing out the culprit before being escorted offstage by security guards.
He was performing in the city of Hermosillo in north-western Mexico as part of his ongoing tour on 11 November.
The singer – who has over 20million monthly Spotify listeners and 2.8million followers on Instagram – left the stage after about an hour and did not return to finish his set.
Videos of the incident have gone viral on TikTok with one clip viewed over 9million times and another 7.9million, as reported by What’s The Jam.
One local said: “I don’t understand why people do that kind of thing to ruin the moment for others enjoying themselves.”
Another added: “I don’t justify violence, but it’s clear that being at the top of the playlists doesn’t guarantee a good audience.”
