A labourer is lucky-to-be-alive after a huge blade from a machine flew off and got embedded in his face.
Shiv Murat Singh was cutting iron when it malfunctioned.
The razor-shape blade flew and hit the mason slicing open his face from top to bottom.
It penetrated his forehead, one eye, down the side of nose and also his chin.

Shiv, 47, was rushed to hospital after the workplace accident.

Surgeons were then able to perform a four-hour operation to remove the blade.
The team of doctors are now working to restore his sight.

He is currently in the nearby KGMU Hospital, as reported on Need To Know.
The workman has been left with damage to his optic nerve.

Dr Sameer Mishra said: “The injury was complex due to the location of the metal shard.
“Which pierced both the nasal cavity and the eye socket.

“The procedure required careful coordination to prevent further damage and stabilise the patient.”
Shiv’s family have praised the medical team for prompt action.
