A shopkeeper had a lucky escape when a would-be robber shot at him at point-blank range, but his gun malfunctioned.
A CCTV camera filmed the suspect walking around a corner in broad daylight with the weapon in his hand.
He points the gun into the business as the owner is mopping up.

He pulls the trigger, but no shots appear to be fired.
The cool-headed shopkeeper rolls down the shutter, leaving the crook to flee back around the corner.
The suspect was allegedly attempting to rob the business.
The police managed to identify him a short while after the crime in Morro Agudo, near São Paulo, Brazil.
He was taken to the police station, where he reportedly confessed to firing twice at the shopkeeper.
No bullets were discharged because the gun apparently malfunctioned.
However, officers tested the weapon after seizing it and found it to be working fine, as reported by Need To Know.
Detective João Baptistussi Neto told local media: “This incident drew a lot of attention.
“Because it’s clear from the footage and the information provided by the suspect himself that the gun’s trigger was pulled twice while it was aimed at the shopkeeper.
“But no shots were fired.
“The ammunition was seized along with the gun, and one round had a damaged primer, confirming that there was indeed an attempt to fire twice.
“But for some unknown reason, it didn’t go off.
“We conducted a test to check its functionality, and the gun’s firing mechanisms are working properly.”
Thanks to his arrest, the police were reportedly able to solve two prior mobile phone thefts committed by him.
