An internationally acclaimed designer tragically lost his life in a horrific crash when his car overturned.

Loschiavo’s Fiat 500X overturned, trapping him inside and killing him instantly.
The cause of the crash on Tuesday (19 Aug) is still under investigation.
The accident occurred on a stretch of the Via Aurelia highway in Capalbio, in Italy’s Tuscany region. He was driving towards his hometown of Rome at the time.

A man inside the dairy was taken to a hospital in Orbetello with minor injuries, while the 58-year-old truck driver was taken to Grosseto Hospital in stable condition.
Loschiavo, 59, was a renowned designer who had lived and worked in Milan for the past 25 years.
He was awarded the Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design eight times, and one of his pieces is part of the permanent collection at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
His work has also been exhibited internationally, including at the Chelsea Art Museum in New York, the Science and Technology Museum in Shanghai, and the Today Art Museum in Beijing.

He was co-founder and creative director of Aliantedizioni, a brand producing interior furnishings, and collaborated with companies and cultural institutions as a consultant.
He was also highly regarded as an exhibition curator, art history teacher, and photographer, as reported by Need To Know.
His friend Giacomo described him as a “precious friend, a great man – kind, radiant, full of generosity, and a brilliant artist”.
