One of the world’s oldest women – who credited drink for her longevity – has died aged 112.
Angelina Torres Vallbona once revealed that she drank “a glass of water with a few drops of lemon and a teaspoon of sugar” every day.
She drank the vitamin-rich beverage for her breakfast.

She enjoyed long walks and spent her life striving to be “friends with everyone.”
Family members confirmed that Angelina passed away on Tuesday (11 Nov).
She was the oldest living person in Spain.
Born on 18 March 1913 in Bellvís, a small town in Catalonia, Angelina grew up as the fifth of seven children, as reported by Need To Know.

After her father’s death, she moved with her mother and siblings to Barcelona, the city where she would live for the rest of her life.
She worked as a tie maker and later as an apprentice in a tailor’s shop.
Her life was marked by the major events of the 20th century, including the Spanish Civil War, which ended in 1939, the year she married Josep Martí.
With her husband, she had a daughter, Mercè, and in time became a grandmother to two, named Gemma and Xavi, and a great-grandmother of three, Pol, Marc and Mar Joana.
Angelina said she had seen Barcelona’s famous Basílica de la Sagrada Família “grow stone by stone” and that it “turned out beautiful”.
According to the website LongeviQuest, she was recognised as the oldest living person in Spain in January this year following the deaths of Maria Branyas, who reached 117, and Piedad Loriente Pérez, at 113.
Following her passing, Carme Noguera Falguera became Spain’s oldest living person at 111 years and 81 days.
