A man caught horrifically punching and dragging a rottweiler has been slapped with a five year ban.
Malik Zoubiri has been banned from keeping animals for the next five years after being caught abusing his pet dog.
The 31-year-old was filmed repeatedly punching Dyson, the rottweiler, as it cowered and tried to flee from his grip.

The heart breaking clip shows the man from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, pinning the animal to the ground.
Zoubiri also made use of a chain lead around the dog’s neck to drag him out of view of the camera, as reported by Need To Know.
Police and RSPCA officers attended his property on 11 Apr 2025, where they rescued Dyson from the home.
This sparked an investigation which left a vet shocked at the physical and mental torment bestowed on the defenceless animal.
Zoubiri reportedly kicked and beat Dyson, repeatedly lifted him by the collar, threw 20kg weights at him, submerged him in water and smashed his head on furniture.
Dyson’s owner also failed to meet his needs by intentionally not buying him food, avoiding feeding him for days and not letting him out to the toilet.
Sadly, the abuse the dog suffered caused behavioural challenges – he has since been put down after being considered unsafe for rehoming.
On 12 May, Zoubiri appeared at Barkingside Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to two animal welfare offences.

On top of the five year ban, he has been ordered to carry out a 12 month community order with 15 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days.
£500 costs, a fine of £180 and a victim surcharge of £114 will also need to be paid by Zoubiri.
Inspector Shahnaz Ahmad said: “Animals feel pain and distress, just like we do, and always deserve to be shown kindness and compassion.
“This result should act as a warning that such behaviour will not be tolerated.”
