Candle melts worth just £4 have had security tags put on them in a branch of Tesco leaving customers fuming.
The Yankee products are put in wax burners.
But shoppers have been pinching them from the supermarket leading to the extreme measure.

Yankee candles – the best selling sort in the UK – have yellow Jarloc security tags inside them too.
Rows of Chesapeake Bay candles, worth between £14.50 and £18.50, have also been tagged.
They were spotted at the Tesco Extra store at Finsley Gate, Burnley, Lancs.
“It’s crazy seeing all the yellow stickers on products,” angry customer Dylan John, 47, told Need To Know.
“It’s confusing as you think the yellow sticker means the price has been reduced but it’s for security.
“People just walk in here bold as brass and try to steal things.”
He added: “I saw one group of teenage lads stuffing bottles of vodka and gin under their coats and try to leg it.
“Security chased them and one lad slipped and his bottle smashed on the floor.
“Crazy scenes.
“The lads used to open the emergency exit doors to let their mates in but the store has stopped that now.”
In March, security tags were slapped on sex toys, lubes and condoms at the store.
Shoplifters were swiping sex aids dubbed ‘The Womaniser’, ‘Slide a ride’ and ‘So Divine vibrating wonder bullet’ from the top shelf.
Packets of Durex condoms and lubes have been protected in plastic boxes to deter thefts at the Tesco Extra in Finsley Gate, Burnley.
Last year scissors worth just £1 and pens worth £2.20 were tagged along with calculators, coloured pencils, felt tips and permanent markers.
The same store replaced bottles of posh champagne with photos after thieves kept legging it with fizz in 2021.
Staff at the store removed bottles of Moet and Bollinger and customers had to take a photo to the check out.
Tesco has been approached for comment.
