A paranoid driver was pranked by his workmates after parking his car in a new spot near his office.

Daniel Prutton decided to try his luck at a new spot to leave his black VW Polo.

It was outside a pub and there were no double yellow lines.

Throughout the day he stated that he had been worrying about getting a parking ticket.

After leaving work at the end of the day, Daniel was shocked to see a little, yellow fine on the windscreen.

He picked up the penalty charge and opened it – revealing the hilarious message from his co-workers calling him a “k*ob head”.

The team leader, for the recruitment agency Randstad in Birmingham, said: “I parked in a bit of a dodgy spot.

“We were having a bit of banter in the office all day about whether or not I’d get a ticket.

“Mostly at my expense.

“I panicked about whether or not I should just risk it or move it.

“I was up and down like a yoyo checking if I had a ticket yet.

“But there was nothing all day.”

Daniel, 31, – who left his hatchback in Edmund Street, in the city centre – added: “However, I walked out the office at the close of play to find this.

“Turns out you can park there, just don’t tell your mates.

“Who needs enemies eh?”
