An England football fan cut ‘It’s Coming Home’ into the grass of his village cricket club and it is visible on Google Earth.
Michael Reynoldson plays for the side and tends to the ground.
But he added the line from the hit song ‘Three Lions’ by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and The Lightning Seeds.

Michael did it at Burnhope Cricket Club in the village of County Durham in 2021.
It was for the Euro 2020 campaign that was postponed due to the Covid pandemic.
But Michael got a grand surprise when he noticed that his artwork appeared on Google Earth today (25 Mar), as reported on Need To Know.

Michael explained: “One of my dull interests is cutting the grass at my local cricket club.
“When the last Euro competition was on, I was so sure we were going to eventually win something I decided to cut “It’s coming home” into the grass.
“Whilst looking on Google Earth I found that the plane had captured this image.

“I’m also on the field taking part in another dull interest of mine.”
In the build-up to this summer’s European Championships in Germany, England fans will be hoping Michael’s message rings true this summer.
But, local Richie Crowley said: “Still not home, must’ve got lost.”

Marc Whitehouse added: “Maybe add ‘not’ next to ‘it’s’ during this year’s mowing.”
Chris Geal said: “False advertisement. Pretty sure it didn’t come home.”
Alistair Pinches said: “Could always cut the word ‘Never’ in between.”
