A woman allegedly poisoned her partner with a laced chocolate flan and left his body to rot on the sofa.
Júlia Andrade Cathermol Pimenta is accused of killing Luiz Marcelo Antônio Ormond in a bid to seize his belongings.
CCTV footage from the lift in the condo where Luiz lived shows his last moments on 17 May.

The 44-year-old businessman was filmed holding a plate of food and kissing his partner on the lips after she takes a swig of beer.
A short while later, after entering the lift a second time, he is seen looking worse for wear and begins coughing uncontrollably.
His body was found on his living room sofa on 20 May in an advanced state of decomposition.
This was after neighbours had called the police and told them about the strong smell coming from the residence in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
His body was in a sitting position wrapped in sheets and blankets.
Two fans were on and a window was open in an apparent bid to get rid of the stench.
The police believe his Pimenta, 29, fed him a spiked chocolate flan.
The dessert, they say, was likely on the plate he was filmed carrying in the lift.
Officers found packets of morphine next to the corpse, as reported on Need To Know.
They also found a mark on the businessman’s head indicating a possible blow.
Luiz bought, sold, and rented properties.
Cops believe she slept in his flat in the days after the killing as his body decomposed on the sofa.
They say she also sent messages from his phone to make it seem like he was still alive.
Detective Marcos Buss said: “It seems she had been drugging him for some time and at a certain point decided to take his life to carry out her criminal plan and achieve her goal, which was to take his assets.”
Pimenta left the flat on 20 May after being delivered a card linked to her and Luiz’s joint account.
The police are seeking her and have asked anyone with intel on her whereabouts to get in touch.
A woman named Suyany Breschak was arrested in Cabo Frio on Tuesday (28 May) in connection with the crime.
Breschak works as a fortune-teller and claims Pimenta owed her 600,000 BRL (£91,000) for “spiritual work”.
She told the police that Pimenta had confessed to her that she’d crushed 50 painkillers into Luiz’s chocolate flan.
A friend of Breschak was also arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen goods after being found in possession of Luiz’s car and computer.
He claimed Pimenta had sold him the car for 75,000 BRL (£11,000).
Another unnamed woman was also arrested on Wednesday (29 May) on suspicion of helping Pimenta dispose of Luiz’s belongings.
Breschak’s boyfriend is also wanted in connection with the case.
Pimenta faces charges of homicide with aggravating factors.
