The pilot of a small plane was forced to crash land in a jungle after encountering an engine problem in mid-air.
The single-engine vessel was being used by a flight school for a training class with a student.
During the lesson, the instructor noticed a technical fault.

He reported that the aircraft lost power while flying over the rural municipality of Muriaé in Minas Gerais State, Brazil, on the morning of 13 July.
The instructor was forced to carry out an emergency landing in an area of jungle outside the town of Muriaé.
Emergency services arrived on the scene and found the pilot and student next to the Cessna 150 plane with the registration PR-DAL.
Thankfully, both male passengers had sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Hospital São Paulo in Muriaé.
Firefighters said the aircraft had been badly damaged during the crash landing.

The authorities have cordoned off the crash site so aviation officials can begin their investigation into the cause of the crash.
The aircraft’s battery was disconnected and all potential fire risks have since been neutralised, as reported on Need To Know.
The Brazilian Aeronautical Registry (RAB) said the plane belongs to the MG Civil Aviation School and its paperwork was in order.
The investigation continues.
