A bride-to-be who was killed in a shootout 20 days before her big day, has been buried in her wedding dress.
Francisca Marcela da Silva Ribeiro was with her fiancé, Wilker Michel, at a petrol station on Sunday (6 Oct) morning when the horror unfolded.
The pair were inflating their motorbike tyres when three men arrived on two motorcycles and announced they were staging a robbery.

Wilker, 32, says an off-duty police officer opened fire when he saw one of the crooks leaving.

The suspects allegedly returned fire and during the shootout Francisca, 33, was hit in the back.
She was rushed to a local hospital in São Paulo, Brazil, where she later died.
Wilker was also shot but survived.

The couple had been together for eight years and were due to tie the knot on 26 October.
Francisca worked as a pharmacy assistant in a hospital in São Paulo.

She leaves behind two children.
Her funeral was held in São Caetano do Sul yesterday (7 Oct).
She was laid to rest wearing her wedding dress in her hometown of Lagoinha, in the Sigefredo Pacheco municipality.

Wilker says neither he nor his wife-to-be tried to resist when confronted by the crooks.
He believes the bullet that killed his fiancée was fired by the off-duty cop.
The police have not confirmed this, as reported by Need To Know.

The suspects, 20 and 22, managed to flee after being shot but were arrested in hospital after seeking medical attention.
The officer involved in the shootout reportedly told the police he had opened fire because he feared for his life.
The case is under investigation.
