A cat has been rescued after being found encased in cement.
A passerby spotted the sorry looking moggy while they were on their way to work on Monday (14 October).
And upon closer inspection, they realised the feline was covered in a layer of cement, as reported by Need To Know.

They immediately called the local animal ambulance organisation, who rushed to its aid.

The cat was taken straight to the vets, where they found on a tag that he was named Pelle and lived nearby.
The feline was picked up in Zeeheldenbuurt, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Liselott Oskam, an employee of the animal ambulance, told local news: “It took some time, but luckily we were able to rinse off all the cement.”

Pelle was lucky that the cement was still wet, as the vets stated that if it had already dried, the job would have been a lot harder.
Houses surrounding Pelle at the time were being renovated, which explains how he found himself in such a tricky predicament.

The vet added: “It sometimes happens that one walks through it with its paws, but completely under it… that doesn’t happen very often.
“But now he is back home and fortunately he has no ill effects.”
Images of Pelle were also shared to the animal ambulance’s Instagram, where he can be seen covered in cement and later, cleaned up.
