The victim was walking by a bus stop outside the Coya Mayfair restaurant.
His mobile was pinched from his grasp before the rider sped off.
He darted into the upmarket eatery in shock at what had just happened.
It happened on Saturday (8 Mar) evening and was captured on the dash cam of a passing car.
The theft occurred as the Home Office announced a phone was stolen every seven-and-a-half minutes in the capital last year.
A total of 70,137 mobiles were pinched in total in 2024, the figures revealed yesterday (10 Mar).
Londoners reacted in horror at the latest theft, as reported on Need To Know.

Andre Mostert fumed: “It’s amazing to see this happening more and more.
“No consequences and it will keep on going on.
“In the last 15 years I have seen a downward trend of people’s safety.
“It’s a shame as I moved here for more safety.
Jenny Reader added: “Never have phones on display in London.

“Or anywhere else for that matter.”
Chris Gipson boasted: “I did one of these scumbags with a road cone the other day.
“One of the most satisfying things I’ve done in a while.”
The Met Police has been approached for comment.
