Tesla have show what their “biggest product ever”, robot Optimus, can do – from household chores like cleaning and hoovering to helping at dinnertime.
Optimus is a humanoid robot developed by the company, designed to perform tasks for humans.
Unveiled three years ago by CEO Elon Musk during Tesla’s AI Day, Optimus represents a significant leap in robotics, aiming to integrate advanced AI with Tesla’s hardware expertise.

Since then, the bot has been made more and more advanced, with additional features, improvements in AI and bettering its mobility.
But now, they have revealed what Optimus can do day-to-day for humans, as reported by Need To Know.
In a video shared online, the robot can be seen being told to do simple tasks that are seen as “boring” or “repetitive” to humans.
With human-like dexterity, the footage shows the bot putting a bag of rubbish in a bin, cleaning a table, using kitchen roll, stirring a pot of food and using a hoover.
It also opens cupboards, uses a microwave and closes a curtain.
Tesla say the robot has learned these directly through human videos – and they are now working further on reliability.
Musk has dubbed Optimus the company’s “biggest product ever”.
In a speech he said: “The only company with all the ingredients for making intelligent humanoid robots at scale is Tesla.
“This is a super big deal.
“My prediction on this front is that Optimus will be the biggest product of all time by far.
“Nothing will even be close.
“I think it will be ten times bigger than the next biggest product ever made.
“Like that level.”
