Meliza Campos-Sanchez, 26, faces charges of first-degree arson, child abuse and two counts of child neglect.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue attended the home following reports of a blaze on Sunday (16 August), as reported by Need To Know.
A fire investigator reportedly concluded that it had been deliberately started using an open flame, ignitable liquids and combustible materials, according to arrest affidavits obtained by PEOPLE.
Investigators subsequently learned of two videos allegedly uploaded to Campos-Sanchez’s Instagram account.

One recording is said to show the mum using lit candles to drip melted wax onto her own leg before pouring it onto her daughters’ hands.
A second allegedly shows Campos-Sanchez wearing a silver mask and spraying liquid onto clothing placed on the kitchen floor at the home in Miami, Florida, US.
She then appeared to ignite the garments using a red lighter, the affidavit reportedly alleges.
Burnt material and minor fire damage were found in the centre of the tiled kitchen floor.
Campos-Sanchez’s husband, Yusniel Cue, allegedly told investigators that the couple had been experiencing marital problems and he had been staying with his parents for approximately one week.

Cue took custody of the children while Campos-Sanchez was transported to hospital, according to the documents.
Investigators also spoke to the eldest daughter, who reportedly said she and her younger sister had been in a laundry room next to the kitchen when they saw their mother set fire to clothing.
She allegedly told officers that Campos-Sanchez threw a glass mug onto the floor while dancing before extinguishing the flames with a bowl of water.

The girl reportedly said their mother later brought both children into the kitchen and poured wax from the candles onto herself and the youngsters.
An officer subsequently attended the hospital, but Campos-Sanchez was reportedly sedated and unable to be interviewed.
She was arrested on Monday (17 August) and later transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Institution in Florida.
