A young driver has demolished his Tesla while on “cruise control” but miraculously survived the violent crash.
The car was travelling down the highway when the vehicle crossed a dirt centre divider.
Seconds later, it collided with a fixed metal guardrail.

The driver – who is 23 years old but has not been named – had reportedly activated the “cruise control and lane assistance features” according to a statement.
The front of the car was demolished, as reported by Need To Know.

Despite the severe damage to the vehicle, the driver only sustained minor injuries.
The incident occurred earlier this week (7 July) at 4.34am on the I-5 in the Los Balmos area in California.
No evidence of drugs or alcohol was found but officers are still investigating why the driver allowed it [the car] to veer off the roadway, CHP officer Myles Anderson told SFGate.
