Police are expressing deep concern over the disappearance of 14-year-old Eva Brown, who has been missing for over a week.
Eva was last spotted on Friday, August 9, as she left a relative’s home in Winchburgh, West Lothian.
She mentioned plans to stay with friends in Glasgow, but the family has not heard from her since Sunday, prompting growing fears for her safety.
Sergeant Steven Elvin, leading the search, emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating, “We are extremely concerned for Eva’s safety and wellbeing. Extensive searches and inquiries are ongoing to locate her as quickly as possible and ensure her safety.”
Authorities have noted that Eva is known to frequent several locations, including Glasgow city centre, Aberdeen, Mallaig, West Lothian, and Whitley Bay in North Tyneside.
Efforts to find her are being coordinated across these areas, with Sergeant Elvin appealing to the public for any information that could assist in locating her.
“We are liaising with colleagues in these areas. I would urge anyone who has seen her or who has any information on her whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible. We would also ask Eva, if she sees this appeal, to please make contact with us to let us know you are safe.”
Eva is described as a white female, standing at 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a slim build and medium-length brown hair.
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a grey top and joggers, black trainers, and was carrying a black backpack.
Authorities continue to urge anyone with information to come forward as the search intensifies.
