A teenage footballer was shot dead after allegedly standing up to a man who’d been bothering his wife at a game.
A CCTV camera recorded two individuals on a motorcycle riding alongside the car Ezequias Júnior Vieira dos Santos was in.
The woman on the pillion could be seen apparently gesturing to the footballer through the window.

Ezequias, 19, was shot dead after an argument on a sports court, local media said.
He was reportedly playing in a football game when a man began bothering his wife.
Ezequias confronted him and an argument ensued, as reported by Need To Know.
The man then went to his father’s house, came back with a firearm, and fired several shots at the footballer.
As Ezequias was being driven to A&E, two individuals on a motorcycle rode after the car and opened fire again.
Tragically, he was pronounced dead in hospital on Wednesday (21 May) night in Manaus, Brazil.
The next day (22 May), the bullet-ridden bodies of a man and a woman were dumped on a street in broad daylight.

The police believe the pair – identified only as Marcilene and Nerisson – are the duo filmed on the motorcycle.
Nerisson’s hands and feet were bound and both bodies showed signs of torture.
Members of the feared Comando Vermelho gang have allegedly claimed responsibility for the executions.
A social media post accuses the pair – who are reportedly a couple – of breaking one of the gang’s rules by “spilling innocent blood”, according to local media.

Ezequias was a promising football talent who won the Supercopa da Floresta with Manaus FC in December 2024.
A spokesperson for Fast Clube – another team he played for – said: “Ezequias was much more than a footballer.
“He was a generous, committed, and inspiring human being who honoured our colours with humility, courage, and a deep love for the game.”
The police are investigating both cases.
